Pekin, IL - Glen W. Ackerson, 80, of 2220 State St. died at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1996, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Jan. 10, 1916, in Bushnell to Glen W. and Marietta Ackerson, he married LaVonda Conley. He later married Carolyn June Stranze. She died in 1991.

Six brothers and sisters also preceded him in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Debra Harrison and Lola Ackerson, both of Pekin, and Kathleen Ackerson of Cleveland; two sons, Robert of Danville and Leslie of Davenport, Iowa; three sisters, Florence Bollinger of Mesa, Ariz., Charlotte Coats of Canton and Pearl Tisdale of Bushnell; three brothers, Perry and Clarence, both of Bushnell, and Guy of Macomb; and eight grandchildren.

He was a member of Laborers Union Local 231 for many years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Laborers International Union.

Cremation will be accorded.
