Betty L. Pinkerton died at York hospital. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Koons) Neff.

She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in York and its choir; she was also a member of United Methodist Women. She was a treasurer of he York-Adams Stroke Club and a volunteer at the Brethren Home Community, where she served in the choir.

Mrs. Pinkerton is survived by two sons, George W, Jr. of York and Christopher N. Pinkerton of Gettysburg; a daughter, Anne E. Pinkerton of Greenville, SC., seven grandchildren; a great grandaughter; a brother, Donald Neff of Red Lion and a sister, Mildred Beck of York.
