Otto Wilford Mann Jr. passed away on January 14, 2017. He was born on October 11, 1922, in the Goldfinch community, the son of Otto and Elizabeth Geyer Mann.

His two brothers, Alvin and Tony Mann, preceded him in death. He was married to Evelyn Hutzler Mann who passed away in August 1981 and Annie Mae Ludecke Mann who passed away in December 2011. His two sons Robert and Jerry Mann also preceded him in death.

He is survived by his oldest son James and wife Janie; daughter, Marylin Ingerick; daughter, Nancy and Bill Wanner; daughter, Emily and Ben Briscoe; daughters-in-law, Linda Mann Gewin and Sharon Mann; stepson, Kenneth and Georgia Cooley and Rick and Gail Cooley.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Rachel, Zachary, Sunshine, Junior, Christopher, Teresa, Renee, Robin, Lisa, Cheryl, Michael, Manny, Jarod, Dillon, Dolton, Christopher, Amanda, Melinda and Robyn. He was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Otto was a farmer. His place east of Pearsall was his pride and joy. He dearly loved the land and instilled that love in his children. He was an innovator and self-taught man. His windmills which he restored as part of his retirement project have been shared with everyone who travelled through eastern Frio County. He will be remembered as a man who took pride in his work and loved his family.

His family wishes to thank all those who have helped him these past few years, his caregiver Pam and the family and staff at Country Life Assisted Living.

A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Mission in Bigfoot, Texas with interment to follow in the Miguel Cemetery.
