Mr. Eakins was born January 17, 1952, in Portland, Indiania to the late John Addison Eakins, Sr. and Josephine Anna Fischer Eakins. He served his country with the United States Air Force and later worked as a landscaper for Special Plants. In retirement he volunteered at Idyll Acres Ranch in Jones County.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Jeanie Briley Eakins. Mr. Eakins is survived by his sister: Judy Sexton (Cathy); uncle: Joe Briley; nephew: David Sexton (Carrie) and his daughter: Kennesa O'Neill.
