Preston served our country for 20 years as a Sargent in the United States Army. During this time he received Good Conduct and Purple Heart Medals, his G.E.D. and 13 years as a hardhat diver with the Army Engineers. Preston went on to work for Bank Check Supply as a Line-A-Type operator for 25 years.
Preston enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years and traveling upon his second retirement also enjoying a lot of reading in his final years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Shannon; and sister, Betty.
Preston is survived by sons, Rick (Robin) Williams and Jeff (Christie) Williams; daughter-in-law, Billie Williams; sisters, Frances (Don) Brostrom and Louise Neitch; seven grandchildren; 10 great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson on the way.
The family would like to thank Woodland Estates, Providence Centralia Hospital and Harborview Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at Claquato Cemetery, Chehalis. A gathering of remembrance will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Woodland Estates in Chehalis.
Memorials may be donations to American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Services are under the care of Sticklin Funeral Chapel, Centralia.
