Margaret Roberson, 90, of Perryton, Texas died Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Perryton. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Perryton, with Rev. Richard Laverty officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Mrs. Roberson was born on March 5, 1926 to Aubrey Marion Turner and Mary Ina Shearer Turner in Poteau, Oklahoma. She married Joe Frank Roberson on September 19, 1943 in Borger, Texas, and they were married for 65 years. They moved to Perryton in 1961. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1961. She was a Sunday School teacher, WMU, choir member and homemaker. She loved her grandkids and spoiled them.
Mrs. Roberson is survived by 4 sons, Ed Roberson and wife Connie of Watonga, Oklahoma, Jack Roberson and wife Rita of Texarkana, Texas, Dick Roberson and wife Rhonda and Bill Roberson and wife Kim, both of Perryton; one daughter, Linda Roberson, also of Perryton; one sister, Falba Evans and husband Charles; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Melvin H. Turner; and her husband, Joe Roberson.
