He was born July 2, 1961 in Salem, MA; son of Ronald Hills and Marilyn Dombroski Coleman of Windsor, CT.
Steve is survived by six children, Julia and Ben Steese of Minerva, OH, Suzanne Coleman of Salem, OH, Patrick Coleman, Michael Coleman, Emily Coleman and her boyfriend, Emmanuel "Manny" Hess, and Timothy Coleman all of Salem, "adopted" daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Jesse Hildebrand, and their daughters, Lily, Emma, and Kaylee; two sisters, Catherine and Tony Meneses, Jacqueline and Jerry Winter-Coleman all of CT; several nieces and nephews.
He was joined in death by his wife, of 35 years, Theresa Ann Doerrer Coleman; two children, Paul and Abigail Coleman; father and mother-in-law, Bernhard A and Madeline McDonald Doerrer.
Steve graduated from Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, MA and earned his Bachelors of Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He enjoyed collecting guns, hunting, buying stuff for the kids, studying church history, storytelling and reading. He always had candy for the neighborhood kids. Steve loved boating and anything with water. He was owner of Coleman Contracting LLC and had done work on the Salem Depot, and several projects for Fort New Salem. He attended Shinnston Fellowship Church.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, Rt. 98, Clarksburg, on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 2:00-8:00pm, and on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Nathan Goff Armory from 9am until time of service at 10:30am with Pastor Sheldon Martin, Pastor Roman Kauffman, and Pastor Dan Cope presiding. Interment will follow at the Saltwell Road Church Cemetery.
