Born November 17, 1932 in Union County Arkansas; she was the daughter of James Dock Vorhease and Mary Eslie Phelps. Carrie was a cafeteria worker in the Strong School District. She was a member of the New London Baptist Church.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Chancelor Hamilton; father, James Dock Vorhease; mother Mary Elsie Phelps Vorhease; sister, Ola Mae Turbeville; brothers, J.D. Vorhease, and Jessie James Vorhease.
Survived by her son, Chip Hamilton (Suzette) of Boyd, TX; daughter, Suzie Hamilton (Tate Dugal) of El Dorado, AR; sister, Florence Huffman of Monticello, AR; grandchildren, Michelle Hamilton, Ryan Dugal, Hamilton Dugal, Sarah Dugal, McKenzie Hamilton, Charlie Dugal and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
