Ruth Kemmer Robbins, 72, of Crossville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Cumberland House in Crossville.
She was born April 1, 1944, in Crossville, daughter of the late John Litton Kemmer and Mary (Bristow) Kemmer.
Ruth worked as an admissions clerk at Cumberland Medical Center for over 30 years, where she then retired after working in the finance department. She was also a member of the Grassy Cove Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Robbins, Crossville; sons, Gary (Belinda) Robbins and Wayne (Angela) Robbins, both of Crossville; grandchildren, Jana (Eric) Yra and Jaclyn Robbins; great-grandchildren, Kieran Yra and Kirie Yra; brothers, Lawrence Kemmer and Robert Kemmer, both of Crossville; and sisters, Pauline Buchanan and Norma Patterson, both of Crossville.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Robbins, and brother, Junior Kemmer.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Michael Reagan officiating. Interment in Grassy Cove Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roy Kemmer, Allen Kemmer, Steven McHone, David King, D.L. King, Jonathan Hyder, Casey Hyder, Adam Miller and Joe Collette.
