Obituary for Pauline Nicholson

Pauline Nicholson, 91, of Corydon passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon.

Pauline was born to Roy & Elsie (Suddeth) Marshall in Runnells, Iowa on April 14, 1925. She received her education from Runnells High School, graduating in 1943. Pauline was united in marriage to Karl Richard Gragg. After Karl Richard passed, she would reunite in marriage to Carl Nicholson.

Pauline was employed by Citizens Bank in Lineville and Corydon as a teller until she took a job with Iowa Southern Utilities in customer service where she would finish her career.
Pauline enjoyed traveling with Carl. The two spent many hours at local country music festivals and jams. She also enjoyed playing piano. Pauline was active in the Clio Baptist Church when her health allowed.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Nicholson of Corydon, daughter, Roberta Porter of Dallas, TX, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, step daughter, Carla Beavers of Corydon and a step son, Michael Nicholson (Jean) of Corydon. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Karl Richard Gragg, son, Rick Gragg, siblings; Ray Marshall, Orville Marshall, Vivian Miller and Harlan Marshall.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will be in Clio Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Prairie Trails Museum of Wayne County or Corydon Lighting Project and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
