Alpha Buren Bishoff, 76, of Route 2, Brandenburg, died Thursday, Sept. 14, at his residence. He was born June 2, 1913 the son of David Albert and Eva Sarah Black Bishoff.

Mr. Bishoff was a veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Mr. Bishoff was preceded in death by two daughters, Miss Carolyn Bishoff who died in 1946 and Mrs. Marilyn Bishoff Thompson, who died September 19, 1986 in Pascagoula, Mississippi, she was buried in Agriola, Mississippi.

He is survived by his wife, Zula Jupin Bishoff; a son, Donald Bishoff, Brandenburg; six daughters, Miss Betty L. Bishoff, Mrs. Lester (Annetta) Mangrum and Mrs. Nina Allen, all of Brandenburg, Mrs. Gordon (Jeanette) Burba, Louisville, Mrs. Pleas (Alma) Lambert, Radcliff; two brothers, Jonathan F. Bishoff, Fairview, Michigan, and Edward Bishoff, Brandenburg; 41 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services were held at Weldon Christian Church with the Rev. Gary True officiating. Burial was in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Donald Ray Bishoff, Jeff Benham, Bruce Burba, Terry Benham, Greg Allen and Kelly Powell.
