Barry Stephen Benham, 42, Brandenburg, died Aug. 21, 2002, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown.

He was born in Meade County on Jan. 3, 1960, the son of the late Paul David Benham and Louella Pearl Cain Benham.

He owned and operated Benham's Highlift and Backhoe Service, was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was participating in the Foster Children's Care Program.

Mr. Benham is survived by his wife, Pam Benham; two sons, Eric Benham and Shane Benham, both of Brandenburg; a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond Miles Jr. and Maureen Miles, Shepherdsville; five sisters, Alice Johnston, Brandenburg, Brenda Zerkow, Woodbridge, Va., Susan Turner, Elizabethtown, Teresa Benham, Radcliff, and Nancy McGuire, Concord, N.C.; and three brothers, Larry Benham, Gary Benham and Paul Benham, all of Brandenburg.

Funeral services were held Aug. 25 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Delores Murphy officiating. Burial was in the Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery under the direction of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Doug Biddle, Bobby Adams, Joe Snyder, Clinton Turner, David Johnston and Jason McGuire.
