Funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16 at Living Waters Fellowship Church in Chico with the Rev. Robert Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Pallbearers include Jackie Jones, Justin Jones, Kevin Jones, Tyler Hunter, Gene Pardue and Glenn Swafford.
Calvin was born Sept. 5, 1930, in Farmersworth to John and Verdia (Anderson) King. He owned and operated King Mechanic Shop. Calvin was a member of Living Waters Fellowship Church in Chico. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Calvin volunteered at W.A.R.M.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Owen Jones; daughter Shirley Parks; and his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Paul Jones and wife, Janis, of Bowie, Melvin Jones and wife, June, of Chico, Tony Jones and wife, Vonda, of Chico and Jackie Jones and wife, Amy, of Chico; daughter Maxine Swafford of Park Springs; 21 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
