Martha Rae Bowman
Martha Rae Bowman, 64, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Pocatello Idaho from complications from an accident that occurred in December.
Marty was born August 4, 1952 in Pocatello to Stanley C. and Helen Cook Bunce, joining brothers, Morris and Jay and Sisters Kay and Carolyn. She was raised in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High in 1970.
In 1968 she met Jimmy Kay Bowman at the Downey fair. They married in 1972, spending 44 wonderful years together.
Jim and Marty welcomed their first daughter, Dawna Gean, in 1973, followed by Farrah Lee in 1977, and Lindsay Marie in 1982.
Marty had a great love for her family, including the numerous friends her daughters brought home through the years and her 4-H kids, all of who she considered her own.
She loved the outdoors, horses and cattle. She could always be found working in her flowerbeds, garden, or helping with the family cattle. Marty spent 30 years as a 4-H leader where she loved working with her kids.
Her greatest joy was watching and doing things with her children and grandsons, she was so proud of each and every one of them.
Marty was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Helen; 3 aunts; 3 uncles; father in-law; 1 brother in-law; 2 nephews; 1 sister in-law; and 1 great-nephew.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years Jim; daughters, Dawna Gean (Rich) Pierson, Farrah Lee (John) Geier, Lindsay Marie (Randy) Kiggins; grandsons, Kohl Geier, Lane Pierson, Rowdy, Riggin, Ridge Kiggins; brothers, Morris (Norma), Jay; sisters, Kay (Neil) and Carolyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and all of her "adopted" kids.
