Mrs. Carol Anne Greenway Thornton, age 64, of Cedartown, GA passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017.
Carol was born June 7, 1952 in Cedartown GA a daughter of James R. & Betty Ann Greenway. She was a teacher with Polk School district for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her father, James R. Greenway; a son,James Paul Thornton and her brother, Doug Greenway.
Surviving are son, Jarrod & Amanda Thornton; her mother, Betty Ann Greenway; her sister, Kay & Terry Rutledge; her aunt, Barbara Robinson; sister in law, Jennifer Greenway Taylor; her grandchildren, Hunter Thornton, Steven Thornton & Landon Penny. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Carol Anne Greenway Thornton will be conducted on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester Litesey Funeral Home with Mr. Dave Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Luke Hooper, Jeremy Hooper, Tyler Deaton, Terry Rutledge, Chase Rutledge and Stewart Robinson.
