Clarence D. "Pete" Blubaugh, 93 a resident of Caledonia Manor Nursing Home, Fayetteville, and formerly of 9264 Tomstown Road, Wayensboro, died at 7:30 A. M. Monday Feb 10, 1992 in the home. Death was unexpected and attributed to heart failure.

Born July 20, 1898 in Tomstown, he was the son of the late Irvin and Rebecca (Monn) Blubaugh. He lived all of his life in the Tomstown area.

Mr. Blubaugh served in the U. S. Army during World War I.

He and his wife, Ruth C. (Creager) Blubaugh, were married in August 1924. She died July 22, 1985.

Mr. Blubaugh was employed for a number of years in his early life by the Standard Oil Co. as a line walker. He then worked for Landis Tool Co., Waynesboro, for 20 years. Prior to his retirement in 1963, he was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg for 19 years.

He is survived by two daughters, R. Elaine Sanders, of Mont Alto and Gloria A. Daley of Tomstown; two sons Clarence E. Bluebaugh of Quincy and Glen O Bluebaugh of Zullinger, 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one stepgreat grandson; and one brother Chester W. Blubaugh of Hagerstown.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
