Terry Alan Patterson, Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.), age 67, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016.

Funeral Services will be held at 12pm Wednesday at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Hinson and Rev. Cindy Blocksidge officiating. Burial will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 2pm with full military honors. He will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service.

Born in Calhoun, GA, Lt. Col. Patterson was a 1971 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received his commission as a 2nd Lt. through Air Force ROTC. He also earned a Master’s Degree from Webster University in 1986. He retired with 22 years of service as a Lieutenant Colonel, completing many international tours of duty in the United States Air Force and receiving the Bronze Star and the Air Medal. Lt. Col. Patterson was currently working as a civilian at Langley Air Force Base for the past decade.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Steve Patterson and parents, Robert and Robbie Patterson.
