She was born to Willie T. and Ruby (Fairchild) Crook on July 10, 1949 in Sherman, Texas. She married Clarence Laney, December 5, 1969 in Dallas, Texas. Pamela graduated from Kimbell High School and attended Dallas Baptist University. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro. Pamela was a social worker for 27 years with Health & Human Services. She enjoyed oil painting, shopping and was an avid reader and she and Clarence loved to travel. Pamela was a member of International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and Past Mother Advisor from DeSoto Assembly #352 and later was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Nash Chapter #320 and Past Matron.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Laney of Whitesboro; daughter, Becki Murray and husband, Jeff of Hillsboro, Texas; sister, Tamela Rider and husband, Douglas of Whitesboro; brother-in-laws, Charlie “Skipper” Laney and wife, LaRue of Saginaw, Texas and Larry Laney and wife, Terry of Virginia; sister-in-law, Donna Phillips and husband, Gary of Irving, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ruby Crook.
