82, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, January 11.

She retired from environmental services at Southwest Hospital. Mrs. Prater was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of their bereavement committee. She also was a member of the Tai Chi groups at St. Peter the Apostle and Sun Valley Community Center, where she was awarded the Kamazi stick.

Mrs. Prater was preceded in rest by her husband, Charles; and a grandson, Jeffrey Johns, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Johns (Ho Phung) and Terri Prater; two grandchildren, Nicole Launer and Stephanie Moore; three great-grandchildren, Kiefer and Keegan Launer and Lukas Moore; and a brother, Gerald Lyvers.

Her funeral will be 10am Monday at St. Peter the Apostle, 5431 Johnsontown Road, with interment following in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 3pm until 8pm and Sunday from 1pm to 8pm.
