MUNCIE--Nora Brooks, 86, passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 9,2017. Nora was born Oct. 1,1930 in Fentress Co., TN. She was the loving wife for 59 years to the late Obie Brooks, Mother, Grandmother and Sister. She enjoyed gardening and bowling in her early years, fishing with family, camping and going to play Bingo. She attended Selma Christ United Methodist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memorial four children: Linda (Rick) Griffiths, Obie Brooks Jr, Teresa Buck, Connie (Mike) Blair; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers: Shellie (Elizabeth) Conatser, Tommy (Sharon) Dale Conatser; sister, Louise (Bobby) Huff.
She was preceded by her parents: Porter and Allie Conatser; husband: Obie Brooks; son Darrell Brooks; sister Vela Bachor, Hessie Holland, Lola Anderson; brother: Shelby Conaster.
