Andrew D. Barrett, 82, died Thursday in Enumclaw. Born January 1, 1890 at Surgoinsville, Tenn., he came to Ellensburg in 1908 and married Cecil Mae Wilcox in Ellensburg in 1916. She preceded him in death in 1929.
Employed by City of Ellensburg as city light plant operator from 1918 to 1946. Married Anna Hunter in 1935. She died in 1942. Made his home with his son, James at Buckley since 1947. survived by two sons, James and Donald of Renton, four daughters, Mrs. Earl Tyrrell, Tenino, Mrs. Robert Champie, Seattle, Mrs. Shirley McEntyre, Los Angeles, Mrs. Charles Whitehurst, Ellensburg; one sister, Mrs. Lessie Culbertson, Surgoinsville; 18 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral at Evensons Monday 2 p.m. with the Rev. Alvin Lustie officiating. Burial follows at Thorp Cemetery.
