Abbe Funeral Is Wednesday

Traverse R. Abbe, 82, longtime Thorp resident, died Sunday [14 Nov 1965] at the Kittitas Valley Community Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Evenson Chapel with the Rev. Larry Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Thorp Cemetery.

Mr. Abbe was born May 13, 1883 [1884] in St. Joseph Mich., and married Zola Thorp in Thorp on March 5, 1910.

The Abbes made their home in Thorp for the past 25 years where he had been caretaker of the Thorp Cemetery. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Yakima.

Mr. Abbe is survived by his wife and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Earl, in 1962.
