Morgan William Johnson, 77, of Paragould, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born October 6, 1939, in Walnut Ridge, and was a former construction worker and employee of L. A. Darling. He was a member of Greater Visions Ministries. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Juanita Johnson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Orley and Ethel White; one daughter, Debra Johnson; and two grandchildren, Brian Lee Johnson and Spencer Ray Swindle. Survivors include his wife, Shelby Jean Johnson of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Felicia Johnson; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Terry Nance; one brother, James Johnson and wife, Sandra; and one sister Jerris Miller and husband, Patrick, all of Paragould. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jeff Carson, Josh and Stacy Carson, Amanda and Tim Mathis and Chris and Jamie Johnson, all of Paragould, Matt and Lila Cook of Walnut Ridge, Samantha and Travis Burton of Portia, and Ashley and Jeremy Brown of Jonesboro; and by seventeen great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14th, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Paragould, with Rick Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Mitchell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Matt Cook, Josh Carson, Chris Johnson, Tim Mathis, Travis Burton and Joe Burgess. Jeremy Brown, Jeff Carson, Jon Dunlop, and Jon Miller will be honorary pallbearers.
