Joan Beck, age 92, of Grangerburg passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Born May 26, 1924 in Missouri to the late Isaac and Gladys Lino Louis, Mrs. Beck was a member of Christ Church International. She retired from a nursing career in pediatrics in 1982. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing golf. She will be remembered for her love of her family and her love for the Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Beck; her son, Stan Rawlinson; her sisters, Mary Jane Johnson and Virginia Lewis; and her brother, Ted Louis.
She is survived by her sons, Don (Joyce) Rawlinson and Gary (Christine) Rawlinson; her daughter, Linda (Eddy) Hinson; her step-children, Rita Beck, Bob (Elaine) Drake, and John (Martha) Beck; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Del Vecchio officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. The family will be accepting flowers.
