Vero Beach, FL

Ralph William Horton Sr., 76, of Vero Beach, FL, died Jan. 10, 2017 at the VNA Hospices in Vero Beach surrounded by his loving family.

Ralph was born in Santa Barbara and grew up in Moorpark CA. He is predeceased by his father, Andrew Horton Sr., his mother, Mildred, his brother, Andrew Horton Jr, and sister, Yolanda Jennings.

Ralph served in Vietnam on a Riverboat from 1965 -1966; he was career Coast Guard and retired Master Chief E9 commanding the U.S.C.G. station in Sabine Pass Texas He received numerous Meritorious Unit Citations.

After retiring Ralph moved to Vero Beach in 1986 and served in the Florida Marine Patrol for 12 years. He also was a member of the VFW in Vero Beach.

Ralph leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son Ralph W Horton Jr. (Tammy) of Fort Pierce, his daughter Cynthia Lindstadt (Corey) of Vero Beach, stepsons James Roberts of Orange County CA, Daniel Roberts (Debra) of Sebastian, Kenneth Roberts of San Diego CA. Grandchildren Jake Lindstadt, Megan Lindstadt, Hannah Lindstadt, and Faith Horton.

Friends may visit on Monday January 16, 2017, at Aycock Funeral home on US 1 in Fort Pierce from 6-8 pm. The memorial service will be on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at 11:00am. Donation can be made to the of FL in Ralph's name.
