Queen Elizabeth Ross-Reynolds, 87, of Roanoke, VA, answered her call to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Lewis Gale Medical Center. Mrs. Reynolds, Queenie/Sis as she was affectionately called, was born on March 25, 1929, in Roanoke VA, to the late William and Hesstelle (Woods) Ross Sr.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edgar G. Reynolds Jr., her brother, William R. Ross Jr., two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, two nieces and five nephews.

She professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age at Jerusalem Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. William Hunter. Later in life she joined First Baptist Church Gainsboro under the pastorate of Rev. Kenneth B. Wright. She was educated in Roanoke City Schools.

She is survived by her three children, Barbara Reynolds-Lynch, Tracey (Lee Webb) Reynolds, both of Roanoke, VA and Donald E. (Ronda Preston) Reynolds, of Raleigh, NC.; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Linda (Vernon) Taylor, of Roanoke, VA; one sister-in-law, Pauline Reynolds, of Christiansburg, VA; four nieces and three nephews and other numerous family and friends.

Homegoing services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016, 11 a.m. at North Roanoke Baptist Church, 6402 Peters Creek Rd, Roanok,e VA with the Rev. Daniel Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Friday afternoon for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
