Harold E. Waters, age 77, of Starke, FL, passed away at his home on Friday, December 9, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born in Lake Butler, FL to Ovid and Florence Waters on April 18, 1939 and was a resident of Starke for the past 54 years. He retired from Georgia Pacific where he was a Lab Analyst. Mr. Waters was a member of First Christian Church of Hampton, The American Brahman Breeders Association and The Bradford-Union Cattleman's Association. He was the loving husband of his wife of 58 years, Alice Faye Newman Waters and a wonderful father and grandfather.
Mr. Waters is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Lynne Waters, his daughter-in-law, Donna Thornton Waters and his brothers, Herman Waters and Herbert Waters. He is survived by his wife Alice Faye, his daughter Allyson "Doll" Waters of Graham, FL, his son Harold E. Waters, Jr. of Angelton, TX, his sisters, Helen Dukes of Lake Butler, FL and Wanda Wall of Plant City, FL and his grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Waters Slocumb, Allynne (Brandon) Woods, Casey Norman, Amber Waters, Amanda Zink and Charlie Zink, Jr.
The family will receive friends at Sampson City Church of God on Monday evening, December 12, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services for Mr. Waters will be on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment to follow at Prevatt Cemetery in Starke, FL.
