Harold J. Fowler 88 of Leisure Village West, Manchester died Monday, January 9, at home surrounded by family.

Born in Guttenberg, he lived in Wayne for 19 years and in Lincoln Park for 10 years before moving to Manchester in 1995. He owned and operated Romay Printers, Fairview for 13 years before retiring in 1989. He was a parishioner of St John's Church, Lakehurst. He was a Trustee for the Wayne PAL for 19 years, while coaching basketball and baseball. He was active in the Leisure Village West Golf Club and served as a volunteer for the Recycling Committee. He was a Navy veteran serving at the end of World War II from 1946-48.

He is predeceased by a sister, Mary Fowler. Surviving is his loving wife of 58 years, Florence (Liszewski) Fowler, a son and daughter in law, Michael J. and Rita Fowler of West Orange, a daughter and son in law, Nancy and Christopher LaRose of Rumson, a sister, Grace Inglese of Cliffside Park, and 4 grandchildren, Hannah and Alex LaRose, and Natalie and Stephen Fowler.

Visitation is Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Saturday 10 AM at St John's Church, Lakehurst with a private cremation to follow. Military honors followed by inurnment will take place on Thursday, January 19, at 2:00 pm at the Brigadier Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
