Keith returned home to his Heavenly Father on January 8, 2017, at the age of 93.
He was born April 20, 1923, in Murray, Utah, to
Thomas Francis McDonald
and Ada Pearl Russell.
He graduated from Murray High School where he played
football
and also established a state track record for the shotput, which remained unbeaten for 12 years.
As a teenager, Keith acquired his pilot's license and later
served in the Army Air Force for 4 years during World War II.
He was married in the Logan LDS Temple.
Later Divorced.
Keith earned a Ph.D. in physics, was a professor at the
University of Utah
and BYU.
He also worked at Los Alamos and China Lake in the Mohave Desert.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the Savior and the truthfulness of the Gospel.
He is survived by his sister,
Donna Lundquist.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother,
Russell Thomas McDonald.
Services will be at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Murray, Utah, on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with the viewing from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment Murray City Cemetery.
