{11 Jan 2017 and slightly revised 25 Feb 2021: Biography of Margaret by Grant Collar, b.1931. My father, Grant Sr (1901-1978) was a first cousin of Minnie Jane PIERSOL Arbogast (1883-1954) who married Asa S. ARBOGAST Sr (1879-1952) near Ritter, Grant County, Oregon where Minnie and my father were born. Asa had a great great uncle, Solomon ARBOGAST (1805-1865) born Virginia who married 1834 Champaign County, Ohio to Mary BARRINGTON (1809-1878) born Virginia. They settled in Hardin County, Ohio and had at least eight children - the seventh of whom was Margaret ARBOGAST (1851-1921), buried Roundhead Cemetery, Hardin County.

Margaret married 09 Oct 1873 Logan County, Ohio to Louis/Lewis E. HANKINS, b: 1847/48 Franklin County, Ohio, was a house carpenter. They had at least six children:
1. Mary Elizabeth HANKINS b: 04 Mar 1873 Roundhead, Hardin County, Ohio.
2. John HANKINS, b: 1875/76 Roundhead, Hardin County, Ohio.
3. Earnest/Ernest HANKINS, b: 1876/77 Roundhead, Hardin County Ohio.
