She was a dedicated nurse for 34 years at Laughlin Memorial Hospital. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Stella Payne; three brothers: Buddy, Lee and Charles Payne; sister-in-law: Mary Payne; brother-in-law: Larry Sharp; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Glen and Anna Mae Dawson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Nelson and Marilyn Dawson.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8 o’clock Thursday evening in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Richard Long and the Rev. Mark Rothe will officiate.
The committal service will be held in Brown Springs Cemetery at 10 a.m. Friday. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
