Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Nancy Morgan (Abel), children; Ralph Morgan (Natalie), David Morgan (Janice), Gerald Morgan (Jeanie), grandchildren; Tommy Morgan, Jarrod Kindred, Madalyn Morgan, Dave Morgan, Brian Morgan, Kristen Morgan, Daniel Morgan, great-grandchildren; Kyndall Morgan, Emory Morgan, Trip Morgan, Cole Morgan, Mason Morgan and Asher Morgan. Thomas is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
Thomas was born on April 5, 1925 in Dayton, TN. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served with the 9th Infantry Division during WWII. He worked at Olin Conductors and American Electrical. Thomas retired from the State of TN-Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute. Thomas was always willing to help out a friend or neighbor and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Life Celebration service for Thomas will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 1:00PM, officiated by Pastor Terry Huffer. Burial will follow the service with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00PM-8:00PM and again one hour prior to the service on Friday.
