He was born June 14, 1940 in Attica to the late Franklin and Euvetus (Cook) Stine. Mr. Stine was employed at C.L. Fike Ford Garage, American Electric Power and was bus mechanic for Seneca East Public Schools. He was also an independent mechanic, carpenter, former supermodified car builder and race driver. Dick was an avid buckeye fan, loved to watch westerns mainly with John Wane and never missed a NASCAR or Indy Car Race.

Mr. Stine is survived by his wife: Ruth J. (Carrick) Stine who he married September 4, 1960 at College Hill Church United Church of Christ. He is also survived by his son: Randall (Diana) Stine of Tiffin and children: Richard, Leigha Jo, Brad and Luke and grandsons: Brior, Keegan and Kennidi; Daughter: Karen (Rickey) Bolen of Plymouth and son: Nicholas and grandchildren: Trevor and Kylie; and son: Kenneth (Nikki) Stine of Willard and Children: Nathan (Lindsey), Megan, Kaylie, and Kendra and grandson: Ryan; and two brothers: George Stine of Tiffin and Frank Stine of McCutchenville. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Louis and Tony Stine; and sisters: Helen, Jane Ann and Marilyn.

Friends will be received on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday with the funeral service starting at 11 a.m. at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin street, Attica. The family encourages guest to dress casual or wear you favorite racing attire. Burial will be held at Attica Venice Township Cemetery, Attica.
