He was born Jan. 19, 1951, in Greensboro, N.C. Stan grew up in Sherman until the age of 18 when he joined the U.S. Marine Corps air wing as a helicopter crew chief. After serving four years in the Marine Corps, he worked in various areas of the U.S. Government working the last 34 years as a background investigator for Defense. He retired in 2008 to enjoy his retirement.
He was a man of character and all could rely on him to do the right thing. He was a very loving husband and loved his dogs. He will be missed and never forgotten by friends and his loving wife of 22 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty S. Hunt and Joe A Hunt of Sherman.
Survivors: The love of his life, Trina Hunt; stepdaughter, Jessica Shaw; and many friends.
