She was the daughter of Walter Frederick and Iva May (Harpster) Smith. She married four times and survived three. She first married Edward Joy, then Willard Seller and Lowell McDonald. She lastly married Perry Moran Allen, who survives in Lima.
Surviving are two sons: Michael (Tana) Joy and William (Jan) Sellers, both Lima; a daughter, Patricia (James) Herrin, Edisto, SC; a brother, Roland, Lima; two sisters: Marjorie (Joseph) Sellers, Springfield, and Virginia Bailey, Dayton; and seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Walter; a sister linked below; and two granddaughters: Leah Christine Joy and Abby Grace Sellers.
A member of the St. Gerard Catholic Church, and former member of the Eagles Lodge #370 Auxilliary, she had worked at the Huddle Restaurant for 30 years, and also at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was an avid dancer and member of the Springbrook Dance Club, a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Lima Locos. She loved shopping at the malls and especially time with her family.
Services will be at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, with Rev. Brenda Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery, near Cridersville.
