Ginger Leigh (Ruwe) White, 52, of Springfield, passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.
Ginger was born on January 29, 1964 in Chula Vista, California, the daughter of Whitey and Marty (Davis) Ruwe. She married Loren White on August 31, 1985 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield.
Ginger graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1982. She worked for the State of Illinois for 33 years. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She loved shopping, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one uncle, Leon Ruwe.
She is survived by her husband, Loren White of Springfield; two sons, Colton James (Ashley Michelle) White of Plainfield, and Conor Michael White of Springfield; one grandchild, Hadlee Mae White; one grandson on the way; sister, Lisa (Craig) Markland of Indianapolis; brother, Robert (Tammie) Ruwe of Dania Beach, FL; two aunts, Marie Ruwe and Melba Stewart; three nephews, Cody and Kyle Markland, and Trey Fenton; niece, Gretchen Hobbie; sister-in-law, Larissa Hobbie; mother-in-law, Arlene White; and father-in-law, Bill White.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Springfield.
Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, with Rev. Robert J. Jallas officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
