He was a member of Kanawha Two Mile Tabernacle. David was a former driver for Valley Bell and retired as a driver for Rite Aid.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orin and Thelma Meador Bowling; and sisters, Wilda Watson, Grace McMillion, and Nola Carpenter.
David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue Bowling; daughter, Nadine Fisher of Amma; son, David Bowling of Nitro; two granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Jim Phillips officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 12 at Donel C. Kinnard State Memorial Veteran Cemetery.
