Danny Saylors Hart was born in Brownsboro, TX, July 6, 1936 to John Paul and Arlis Saylors Hart. He passed away January 7, 2017 in Flower Mound, TX, after a brief hospital stay due to pneumonia and congestive heart failure. He is survived by three children and their spouses, Steve and Cheryl Hart, Jim and Susan Hart, and Julie and Tommy Schmitz, and nine delightful grandchildren. Also surviving him are his sister and brother-in-law, Prissy and Bobby Taylor. Danny received Bachelors and Master Degrees in Music from North Texas State University. He taught music in public schools for over 30 years, and was Choral Director at MacArthur High School in Irving, TX, from the time it opened in 1963 until his retirement in the early 1990’s. His decades of teaching choral music inspired hundreds of students to a lifelong love of singing, and some to careers in music. Although he could have been successful at the university level, he chose to remain a high school teacher, providing a stellar program for his students. The last ten years, Danny lived in his hometown, Brownsboro, TX. He loved the Texas sunshine and will be buried on his favorite hilltop.
