Harry Beale Clarke, 96, of Caret died Saturday, January 7, 2017. He was the widower of Edna Mae Saunders Clarke and a retired employee of St. Margaret’s School. He is survived by his three children, Harry (Barbara) Clarke of Caret and Wayne “Beanie” (Jennifer) Clarke of Tappahannock, Tammy (Raymond) Hodges of Dunnsville; two grandsons, Christopher Hodges and Cody Clarke; seven step-grandchildren, Patricia St. John, Jackie Davis, Mark Davis, Sheila Howard, Bill Lee, Kathan Hodges and Ray Hodges. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock with the Reverend Chris Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Upper Essex Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chris Hodges, Cody Clarke, Ray Hodges, Mark Davis, Darryl Parker and Wortley “Pretty Boy” Hayes.
