Lois Dean Austin Harrison of Monroe, formerly of Loganville, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Rusty Ruark and Rev. Dana Worsham will officiate. Interment will follow at Loganville Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Harrison was born on December 7, 1918 in Barrow County to John Harris and Susan Samantha (Sudie) Harrison Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 siblings. Mrs. Harrison retired from Loganville High School in 1982 where she had worked in the cafeteria. She had resided at Great Oaks in Monroe since October 2014. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother – and a great cook. She was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class of Loganville Baptist Church. Mrs. Harrison is survived by her husband of 62 years, J.P. Harrison of Monroe; Daughter: Marsha (Will) Harrell of Loganville; Sons: Wayne Harrison of Loganville, Tim Harrison of Monroe; Granddaughters: Amanda (Ryan) Remillard of Lawrenceville, Natalie Harrell of Loganville; Great Grandsons: Owen & Eli Remillard of Lawrenceville; Sister: Johnnie Sue Bryant of Daphne, AL; Sisters-in-law: Merita Austin of Winder, Geneva Wilkerson of Loganville; Brother-in-law: Thomas “Bill” & Shirley Harrison of Loganville; Many Nieces & Nephews, including Special Nephew, Gary Doster of San Diego, CA, and Special Friends, Cindy & Carol Bannister of Savannah.
