MRS M MCDONNELL DIES AT MONONGAH - Scrapbook of Fr Robert McDonnell
End Came Sunday After an Illness That Lasted Three Years
Mrs. Mary Moran McDonnell, wife of Michael McDonnell of Monongah, died on Sunday afternoon shortly after four o'clock at her home after a long illness. Mrs. McDonnell was stricken with paralysis three years ago and since that time has been an invalid. For several weeks past she had been growing worse and her death was not unexpected. Mrs. McDonnell before her married was Miss Mary Moran and was formerly a resident of Clarksburg. For the past twenty years, however, the family has resided in Monongah. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Thos. J. Talbott and three sons, John, William and Patrick H. The latter is a member of the National army and is located at Camp Lee, Virginia. He was here several weeks ago to see his mother and will probably return for the funeral services. A brother, Capt. M. F. Moran, formerly a passenger conductor on the M. R. Division of B. and O. also survives. Ms. McDonnell was a member of the Catholic church and until prevented by illness was a regular attendant at church services. Funeral services are announced to be held on Wednesday morning at Clarksburg, a special car leaving Monongah at 7:30 o'clock for that place to convey the funeral party. Services will be held from the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 9 o'clock.
