Son of Eliza Palmer and Thomas Fourqurean.
Brother of Andalusia Fourqurean Dudley & Thomas A Fourqurean.

He was born in the county
of Halifax, which contained
his home and in which he
breathed his last. In all
the revelations of life he
sustained his part. He was
a devoted husband, an affectionate
father and an indulgent master,
a good neighbor and a useful
citizen. Affectionate in
his disposition, hospitable
in his feeling kind and concilia-
tory manners, but modest
and retiring, he was best
beloved by those who knew
him best. By the relentless
hand of death his hearthstone
has been rendered desolate.
His memory is cherished by
a disconsolated wife, by
seven devoted children, by
an attached sister, and numerous
relatives and friends.
He was not member of any
church, but his friends enjoy
the pleasing consolation
that he has found the pearl
of a great price, that he
was sustained by the hand
of Jesus in his passage though
the valley of the shadow
of death, and that his spirit
now mingles in religions
of bliss with the spirit
of man made perfect.
