Violet LaJoyce Garrett, 84 of Clarksville, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 in Clarksville. Mrs. Garrett was born July 28, 1932 in Clarksville to Mr. Verdis McKinley and Lillian Ollie (Cline) Dobbs. Violet was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed bluegrass music; she deeply loved her family, friends, and pets. Mrs. Garrett is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Amsey W. Garrett; and one brother, James E. Dobbs.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by three daughters, Joyce (Ed) Carson of Clarksville, Sharon (Travis) Cline of Clarksville, and Carolyn (Curtis) Bishop of Ozark; four grandchildren, Teresa Gross, Anita Engelhoven, Sam Stout, and Nikki Stout; four step-grandchildren, Tyler Bishop, Joe Bishop, Michelle Cline, and Brandon Cline; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Gross, Taylor Gross, Jackson Gross, and Amber Ellison; six step-great-grandchildren, Alex Cline, Bella Cline, Raylee Bishop, Mason Bishop, Timothy Floyd, and Hannah Floyd; niece, Lori Phelps; Nephew John Phelps; along with numerous other family and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Garrett will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Don Erwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery
