Leah Wagner Baker, a resident of Charlottesville, Va. for many years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late David Sullins Wagner, and the late George August Baker.

A loving and devoted mother, Leah leaves behind two daughters, Sherry Wagner Douglas of Charlottesville, and Elaine Wagner Jaber and her husband, Paul of Rocky Mount, N.C. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Thomas Ralph Holt and Leah Elaine Forsberg and her husband, Don of Charlottesville, and Mary Kathryn Sullins Jaber of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and two great grandchildren; Emma Elaine Forsberg and Lillian Hope Forsberg of Charlottesville.

Leah devoted her life to her family and she was the best mother anyone could have. She will be greatly missed by all those who dearly loved her. She lived a life of strong faith and integrity and had great empathy which was evident by her compassionate caring for others. She was musically talented and loved to sing and dance, with dance being one of her greatest joys.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Legacy Hospice, 500 Faulconer Drive, Suite 100, Charlotteville, VA 22903. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
