He was the son of Lucy Cannon and the late William Cannon. Robert attended Lawrence public schools and shortly after enlisted in the United States Army. He worked for the City of Lawrence for 28 years. Robert loved gardening, sports, politics and history. Robert was a member of First-Calvary Baptist Church in North Andover.
Robert is survived by his loving mother, Lucy Cannon of Lawrence. He is also survived by his many cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friend may call on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A celebration of life will be held at the Cataudella Funeral Home Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem, N.H.
