Mr. Tyler Barnes age, 23, of Fayette passed away Saturday January 7, at the UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 10, at 2:00-p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Caines Ridge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 - 2 P.M. at Nelson Funeral Home.

Survivors include his fiance’, Brittany Woods; parents, Rusty and Glennette Barnes of Fayette; and grandparents, Jerry and Joan Barnes and Jimmy and Amelia Tucker.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Derrick Barnes.

Tyler Barnes was born with Cystic Fibrosis 23 years ago. He fought long and hard to live a normal life, but because of his disease the normal life was hard to find. Tyler loved being with his family and fiance Brittany. He enjoyed playing with his dog Bella, listening to music, and playing online with his family on his Playstation4. Tyler was a fighter, and always tried to stay strong and positive for his mom, dad and family.

Pallbearers will be: Brian Jackson, Robert Barnes, Coby Dozier, Dillion Tucker, Christopher Cannon, Dawson Tucker, Brandon Swanger and Mason Williams.
