Lynn F. Stewart, age 75, of Menomonie, WI passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Menomonie.
He was born March 19, 1941 in Menomonie, WI to Frank and Viola (Larson) Stewart. Lynn was raised in the Menomonie area and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1958.
On Nov. 24, 1962, Lynn married Elizabeth “Jo” Boerner in Menomonie. Together they farmed in the Town of Lucas on the family farm until retiring in 2004.
After retirement, he enjoyed spending time telling stories with friends at Dean and Sue’s. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Jo Stewart of Menomonie; two daughters, Lynda (Tim) DeAtley of Menomonie and Lisa (Rick) Merrell of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren, Nathan and Andrea Loscher and Joshua and Jordan Merrell; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mae Schlottman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Bob Friese officiating. Burial will be in Tramway Cemetery in the Town of Menomonie, Dunn Co. WI. There will be visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
