Matthew was born March 30, 1971 in Porterville, CA, to Isidro & Elza Costa. Matthew was a member of the Visalia P.P.A.V. Hall. He enjoyed visiting with friends as well as the company of his family. Although he was gone too soon, he was deeply loved by those that knew him.
Matthew had many beautiful gifts and a heart of gold. A self-proclaimed, "Jack of All Trades", he could build, fabricate, draw or construct anything. He welcomed all into his life; even a stranger would become a friend. His generous spirit was admired by his friends and he had an amazing ability to never worry about the consequences of today, knowing that "every little thing is going to be alright!"
Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Serafine and Maria Rodrigues and paternal grandparents Mateus and Maria Costa. He is survived by his devoted fiancée, Jessica De La Rosa of Tulare; parents, Isidro and Elza Costa of Tulare; brother, Mickey and his wife, Kris, of Tulare; daughter, Taylor Costa, of Tulare, and nieces and nephews that he adored- Clay, Cole, Canon, Kadence and TJ, all of Tulare. He will be missed by his 4-legged children-Pete, Penny and Lilly. He dearly loved his many cousins and extended family that are too numerous to list.
There will be a viewing from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Home. There will be a Rosary and Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at St. Aloysius Church, 125 E. Pleasant, Tulare, with interment to follow at North Tulare Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Matthew's family requests donations be made to the Visalia Holy Ghost celebration, c/o PPAV Hall, 820 E Main St, Visalia, CA 93292.
