Married Mary Helen Cullens in Camilla, Georgia, on Sept. 1, 1887. Father of four: Elfleda, Harry Fendley, Sarah Helen (Torbert), and Liska. He, his wife, and four children survived the 1900 Galveston hurricane in their home, 3722 Ave. Q-1/2. The house still stands.
