FOUNTAIN -- The funeral for Alma O. Fingerson will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Root Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Fountain with the Rev. John Sime officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Fingerson, 84, of Fountain, died Sunday (April 11, 1993) at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield where she had been a patient since March 17.
Alma O. Redalen was born Oct. 8, 1908, in rural Fountain and married Kermit Fingerson there on Oct. 10, 1934. She was a member of Root Prairie Lutheran Church and its ladies aid and choir.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Allen of Eau Claire, Wis., and Tillman of rural Fountain; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ida Finseth of Rochester, Norma Johnson of Rockford, Ill., and Selma Nelson of Fountain. Four sisters, two half sisters, four brothers and three half brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield and an hour before the service at the church.
